Megan and Chris | Celebrations at the Bay | Annapolis Wedding Photographer

Wow… I can’t believe the Winter has come and gone. What a year 2020 has been. After taking some time off to catch my breath over the slow Winter months, I am finally back at it full stride. I have a busy 2021 and looking forward to serving all my couples – starting with Megan and Chris!

In February 2020, Megan and Chris asked me to join them as their wedding photographer. As with most of my couples, we met up in downtown Baltimore to capture sweet images of their engagement session. I’ve said it before and I will keep saying it… it is so important to ask your photographer to take engagement photos, not only to create beautiful memories of the special occasion, but to also begin the process of getting to know the photographer, and allowing the photographer to get to know you! This is where I begin learning what my clients like and don’t like. How they respond to posing in front of a camera (or not!). What preferences they have and what approach I should take to ensure that their entire experience is positively memorable! For me, it’s like studying a subject for an exam, with the wedding being the exam.

The big day finally came this past Saturday, March 20, when Megan and Chris said yes to one another at the scenic Celebrations at the Bay in Pasadena, Maryland. Situated right on the Patapsco River, a tributary to the Chesapeake Bay, this wedding property has stunning views, two wedding venues on site, gazebos, indoor and tented facilities, and long piers that extend out into the river providing beautiful backdrops for photography. I’ve known and have done business with the caterer (Catering by Uptown) at many of their properties in Maryland. These folks know how to do weddings. This is their core competence and you definitely want to look them up!
