Faith.
Scriptures defines faith as “…the assurance (substance) of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Think about it. When you and I sit down on a chair we’ve never sat in, we have faith that the chair will hold us up, right? That’s faith! I’ve learned many things about one of the Founding Fathers of our country, George Washington, but I’ve never met him. I have faith in the historical text that George Washington did exist! We either have faith (in unseen things or things in the past), observation (now), or hope (things yet to be experienced or things in the future). Why start out my blog with “faith”? Because faith is very near and dear to Emily and James, on a personal level. They also made it perfectly clear to all their family and friends that faith in God will guide them in their marriage. These two love birds were unambiguous about what compass they will use to direct their lives and sustain their marriage. A healthy confidence in something that will serve as their “constitution” in times of joy and in times of struggle. Faith. It always is a good place to stop and ask ourselves the question, “In what, or in whom, do I have faith…the assurance and conviction type faith?”
Just two days ago, Emily and James tied the knot before their guests at the stunningly beautiful (one of my faves!) Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland. This Howard County park is truly a hidden gem nestled inside the sprawling, tree lined, mile-long driveway that you’d never know existed unless you intentionally GPS’ed ( <- is that even a word?) your way there. The mansion (and I mean a beauty of an architectural structure with vintage interior design) has a long history you can learn about by clicking here. With spacious gardens, tastefully designed landscaping, vineyards, barns and grain silos, an epic bridal suite and groom’s billiards room to salivate over, this property served as an amazing backdrop to an amazing couple and their amazing families!
So join me and my amazing photography assistant (Desirae) in viewing these “sneak peak” teaser shots from their wedding just 2 days ago! And don’t forget to check out these amazing vendors and professionals who helped make Emily and James’ wedding so memorable (list is at the bottom), including Trans4mation Photography, your Annapolis Wedding Photographer. Congratulations once again to this amazing couple and here’s to many years of blessings, health, and happiness!
