I know I am not alone when I say that we often take for granted our own communities and own backyard. I have done so many photo sessions in this beautiful town we call Annapolis, Maryland, that it sometimes gets old for me. Being as it may, the quaint old small-wanna-be big town is the quintessential backdrop to engagement and wedding photography. Historic. Old. Cobble stone. Main Street. Saint Ann’s Church. The Capitol. Naval Academy. Water. Sailing. Yachts and the yacht clubs. Regattas. Racing. Beaches. Ice Cream. Armadillos. Middleton’s. Federal House. Pussers. Rams Head. West Street. Sushi. City Dock. Water Taxis. Boat Shows. Weddings. Engagements. You get the picture.
So Geralda and Brenan came to me wanting a different feel for their engagement photos. And you know where we went? But of course! Annapolis. Indeed, it is beautiful, and came alive when these two model-looking couple walked about truly enjoying the moment. I didn’t have to do much direction and felt as though Geralda and Brenan would have all but forgot I was there and enjoyed the time near City Dock and Main Street. Geralda wore a stunning navy blue dress and Brenan finished off his dashing looks with a business suit. For the casual look shots, Geralda sported a canary yellow sun dress while Brenan wore a primary red bermuda shorts. Always and forever, engagement photography will always look better whenever the couple select solid, primary colors, which worked really well during this shoot.
I look forward to shooting Geralda and Brenan’s wedding in September and capture and tell their special day in pictures. Are you looking for a wedding photographer? Contact me for a free consultation!
