CLICK HERE TO VIEW BLOG POST IN FULL SCREEN MODE – What do you get when you cross a teacher and a police officer? A wedding! Alexandra and AJ are your feel-good love story. Boy meets girl. The rest is history. Annapolis Wedding Photographer
The first time I met Alexandra, I knew she would be that sweet, down-to-earth, easy-to-get-along, everybody’s favorite, kinda bride. She definitely fit that first impression. And AJ… well, AJ is her perfect match. Tall, handsome, totally in love, and had the overly-protective vibe about him. But I made no bones about it. I told AJ, “Hey bro, you are definitely marrying up!” And he graciously agreed.
So started this photographer-love-affair with Alexandra and AJ. They met me one of the many bridal shows, asked to sit down with me, and we “connected”. It’s so important to connect with your photographer. This is not just about photos… you are inviting a perfect stranger to enter into your private world, your wedding, your intimate gather of friends and family…. oh, you better connect!
It didn’t take long to warm up to each other. Planning, as always, was cemented during our “venue walk-through”. Alexandra was beyond stoked that I was her photographer (I was so humbled) and the day finally came!
The famed Gramercy Mansion in Baltimore. Wow. A sprawling campus of historic buildings and lush landscaping that make for a perfect outdoor and indoor backdrop. Anywhere you go on this property, you can find many opportunities to capture texture, color, geometry, history, and so forth. Stunning! (consider this venue for you wedding!).
Alexandra asked me in no uncertain terms that she wanted to have the First Look session be private between her and AJ. Unlike other clients who involve their family, friends, and bridal parties, Alexandra was confident that she wanted to remember this moment as a private experience. Made total sense to me! She and AJ were able to have a quite 5 minutes of conversation, kisses, and the ability to soak in the moment before the day unfolds and the noisiness of celebration and festivities begin. Great move Alexandra!
Indoor nuptials were followed by a well rehearsed and executed first dance by Alexandra and AJ. Their DJ/MC (Dance Masters Entertainment) was intimately involved in choreographing and training Alexandra and AJ in this beautiful dance. Well done! One of the highlights of the evening was their cake cutting ceremony. After cutting their beautifully hand-made and decorated cake by Snicker Doodles Bakery, their family and friends presented them with ANOTHER cake, designed with the Baltimore Raven’s, Orioles, and State flag logos. These two love birds are Marylanders. ALL. THE. WAY!
Please enjoy some of these teaser shots from their wedding day and don’t forget to give a shout out to these incredible vendors that made it special!
