Y’all know that I love all my couples. Every single one. Each couple has unique qualities, gifts, skills, life stories, hobbies, etc. But no matter how true this statement might be, I do have favorites. Once in a while, I get the opportunity and privilege to serve a couple that goes beyond my expectations. A couple that possesses that certain je nais ce quoi – that special personality that is rare and precious in the modern world:
This is exactly what you get when you meet and get to know Julie and Brett. Superlatively special in so many ways, it was my sincere delight and pleasure to serve them, their families and friends on their wedding day. And it doesn’t hurt that these two – Julie and Brett – are not only precious on the inside, their winsome and beautiful good looks (and Julie’s dimples!) makes it so easy for others to interact with them! It also didn’t hurt that Brett and I share the love of hockey!
So, yesterday, Saturday, June 25, Julie and Brett tied the knot in front of their sweet friends and families at the stunningly beautiful Stone Ridge Hollow – a property located in North Maryland. The venue brags acres of open country, rolling hills, 2 large ponds, one of them with a beautiful water fountain, a beautiful converted barn, excellent facilities and amenities, an amazing staff led by Lindsey, a Farm House for “getting ready”, and all the picturesque qualities any couple would die to have for their wedding. If you are in the market and looking for a wedding venue, check out Stone Ridge Hollow!
After the bridal party got ready, Julie’s dad got a special treat with a first reveal on the porch of the Farm House, followed by Brett seeing the Bride of his dreams under the shade of a tree next to one of the ponds. After some portraits, the ceremony was held facing a beautifully decorated arbor/arch and one of the ponds and officiated by Brett’s Pastor and mentor, Pastor Cary Slater. The sweet ceremony was followed by amazing cocktails and dinner served up by Hill Culinary (Eriksson Hill). And as a special treat (and I mean treat!), Julie and Brett provided a local ice cream truck to serve up delicious ice cream for their guests. So many beautiful moments. So many memories. Lots of laughter. A truly sweet celebration!
So join me in congratulating Julie and Brett on their special day and come along with me on a quick sneak peek tour of their wedding photos below. Enjoy these images as I continue to edit the remaining images over the course of the next few weeks. And give a shout out and some love to their wedding team below!
