Another week, and another beautiful wedding. I knew Lisa and Matthew’s wedding would have such a “family” feel when I first met them during the initial wedding photography consultation. Lisa made sure to mention that she particularly enjoyed my photojournalistic style, composition, and artistic eye – which is why they selected me to do their wedding photography. Lisa and Matthew first met me at the Baltimore Bridal Show at the Baltimore Convention Center back in February. I always enjoy sitting down with each client, and take my time going over my skills, style, equipment, preparation, execution, post-production editing, etc., as well as review the 3Ps – product, packages, and prices. And of course, answer any questions that leaves them no doubt that they’ve selected a reliable, artistic photographer that delivers exceptional images with that certain “je nais sais quoi”. For me, its not only about photography, but its about the people – enjoying them and what they do.
It is so satisfying to receive comments from wedding guests that make it all worth it. At the end of the reception late into the evening, I was carrying my equipment down the elevator, when one of Lisa and Matthew’s guests said, “Boy, you kicked your butt tonight!” Its rewarding that at least one person noticed!
The “family” feel really came through when my associate photographer and I shot the “getting ready” shots. Virtually all the immediates, close family and friends joined us in the hotel room to experience and feel the celebratory and festive nature of getting ready. Food, drinks, make-up, hair, cheers and lots of laughter prepared bride and groom for what to come – a cheerful celebration as they exchange vows and launch their lives as a married couple.
Thank you Lisa and Matthew for trusting me in shooting your wedding. I always feel humbled and honored to participate and share in this sacred event. Please enjoy these “teaser” shots, with many more images coming when they get uploaded to the password-protected website (you can share the website info with family and friends to view and order images).
