Daddy’s (and Mommy’s) girl. There is no doubt Melissa, a successful elementary school educator, held that title! Melissa’s dad was beaming and on cloud nine the entire evening. And the moment I met Melissa’s mom Stafanie, we clicked and found such great chemistry that has now lasted almost 2 years. All the dreaming, planning (much of it by Janet, their methodical wedding planner) finally happened and the execution went flawlessly last night!
On her wedding day, Melissa glowed in her couture dress by Maggie Sottero from Hearts for you Bridal and sparkled in her Badgely Mischka bridal shoes. After her dad David saw her in her gown, we went to the inner harbor in Baltimore where Ted first laid eyes on his beauty. His reaction was priceless!
How do you do a Jewish wedding ceremony the right way? You do it with all your friends and family. You do it under a beautifully crafted and decorated Hoppah. And then you celebrate all night long. To be sure, this is exactly how things went down last night. Both the ceremony and reception were held at the modern and elegant Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. This wedding had it all: a remote control Mercedes cart that drove the ring bearer down the aisle, many of the sacred and covenantal Jewish traditions including the shabbat, the circling of the bride and groom, reading from scriptures, showcasing the Kettubah, and the breaking of the glass – all of it was reverent and beautiful. It was all heartfelt right down to the sweet congratulatory letters written by Melissa’s elementary school students.
Everywhere you turned, there were flower arrangements from Love Blooms that tastefully blended various colored roses and orchids including the stunning flower spread on the Hoppah and the mushroomed arrangements in the tornado vases. The cake by Sugar Bakers could make a sweet tooth out of anybody! And I’m certain that after Melissa and Ted, the next best highlight of the night was the incredibly talented live band known as GoGoGadjet. To say this group is amazing is an understatement. How else could almost 300 guests stay entertained and up on their feet for 6 hours? Truly, no words could adequately describe the sheer talent we all witnessed.
So, without further ado, join me on a quick sneak peek tour of their wedding with the photos below. Enjoy these images as I continue to edit the remaining images over the course of the next few weeks.
