The instant I met Marissa and Bryson, I fell in love. We met for drinks (well, because that’s what they like to do – drink wine!) and talk about their vision and experience they wanted to have for their wedding. From that moment, it was a love affair between Trans4mation Photography (me! your fine art Annapolis Wedding Photographer) and this amazing couple!

We got to know each other a lot more when we all went to Patterson Park and the Korean War Memorial in downtown Baltimore where we captured great engagement photos of them in front of the Pagoda as well as a picnic styled wine-themed photos. It doesn’t take anyone a long time to figure out these two love birds are wine-connoisseurs – they both have a love for good wines and schedule their social activities around a delightful vin d’extraordinaire to impress any sommelier. This past Saturday, Marissa and Bryson tied the knot at the art-deco themed Pier 5 Hotel (part of the Curio Collection of properties owned by Hilton Hotels) in Baltimore. This property boasts an outdoor lawn area (Waterfront Garden) for outdoor weddings, brick concourses, the Harbor Club room with a 270 degree glass-encased panoramic view of the harbor, an outdoor deck facing the picturesque inner-harbor where guests enjoyed palette-pleasing hors d’oeuvres, a great epicurean catered and plated menu, along with a fantastic staff (be sure to ask for Morgan Sutton at Pier 5!).

And did I mention this past Saturday was one of the most beautiful weather days so far in 2019? Only the second day in Summer so far, it already served up a stunning, sunny but partially diffused light, and breezy day to satisfy any bride and groom! It was this backdrop that served as Marissa and Bryson’s location for their nuptials. Marissa, a Human Resources professional, and Bryson, a successful Accountant, joined their families and friends to celebrate the water front ceremony and the nautical and wine-themed reception. Decked out with a string and brass quartet, their favorite decorations and details, stunning hurricane vase center-pieces, along with Maryland crab cakes, this wedding was a sure crowd pleaser!
