Just as the global pandemic was becoming headline news in 2021, little did anyone know at the time that the impact would last years. It was at that time that Beth and Jon, a beautiful couple from Baltimore asked me to be their wedding photographer. Beth, an accomplished counselor who undoubtedly has a warm and winsome personality that helps her both professionally and personally, and Jon, a handsome blue-eyed, bright smile salesman, joined me at the Rawlings Conservatory at Druid Hill Park for a delightful engagement photo session right in the middle of the pandemic! Still, this is where we got to build on the chemistry needed to create great photos for their wedding.
Saturday, May 7, 2022 was a wash out. It had rained non-stop for 2 days in a row. But not even the rain was going to interfere with their wedding, their celebration, and certainly from my perspective, I was ready to create beautiful photos for both of them (I always keep about 15 parabolic clear plastic umbrellas in my car just “in case”). After all, these two good looking love birds made my job super easy! And I don’t just mean because Beth was stunningly beautiful and Jon was a dapper looking handsome stud, but honestly because they both had this certain “je ne sais quoi” with a gentle spirit, smiles ear to ear, soft spoken, and simply delightful on the inside. This world definitely needs more people like Beth and Jon!
So on this rainy, foggy, and sloppy weathered day, Beth and Jon, along with about 200 of their favorite people, got married in a “light” version of a Jewish wedding at Hunt Valley Country Club – a venue any newly engaged couple must consider as their wedding venue! With rolling hills, ponds and water fountains, and a popular gold course nestled inside the open space, lush green, country vibe in Phoenix, Maryland – just north of Baltimore – Hunt Valley Country Club and their catering service put on a spectacular wedding for the bride and groom! All eyes turned to Beth as she entered the ceremony in her Betsy Robinson wedding gown. For the reception, fresh flowers from Radebaugh’s were just everywhere to decorate the glass-encased ballroom. And when it came time to celebrate and dance the night away, the live band “Bachelor Boys” kept everyone on their feet all night long!
So join me in congratulating Beth and Jon on their special day and come along with me on a quick sneak peek tour of their wedding photos below. Enjoy these images as I continue to edit the remaining images over the course of the next few weeks. And give a shout out and some love to their wedding team below!
